"We're a bit short in some areas, but we're also eager to compete against Spezia," admits coach Alfonso Greco. After an all-Sardinian preseason against Serie D opponents, Torres is preparing to open the 2026/27 season: on Sunday at 6:00 PM they'll play in La Spezia, against a team recently relegated from Serie B.
The Rossoblù coach stated: "We'll try to approach the match in the right way. We're short on players, with injuries in certain areas causing trauma, and we hope to complete the squad as soon as possible. The names are there, but it's not just up to us."
The reference is above all to the defense, which will be without new signing Scaringi for the entire month (fractured fifth metatarsal in his left foot) and veteran Antonelli, sidelined with a right shoulder problem following the injury sustained in the friendly against Latte Dolce.
Then there are other rossoblù players with injuries and some who are still far from their best physical condition: "Not everyone has 90 minutes in their legs, so I'll try to alternate them with others during the match."
