All that was missing was the signature, but now it's official: Gianluca Gaetano is returning to Cagliari. The club has announced the purchase of the rights to the sports performances of the player who is leaving the Napoli jersey to wear the rossoblù one, signing a contract that will tie him to the Island until June 30, 2029.

Born in 2000, he arrived at Cagliari on loan last February, Gaetano was able to quickly win over his teammates and fans. Wise technical skills, a sense of goal and imagination, combined with dedication to the cause, fight and sacrifice: author of 4 goals and 1 assist in 11 games, he was among the architects of the team's change of pace, giving his precious contribution to achieving permanence in the top division.

His CV includes 43 goals and 25 assists with Napoli's Primavera, his debut in the first team at just 18 years old. Then Cremonese: 86 games, 17 goals, 11 assists, the team's promotion to Serie A in the 2021/22 season. Then, back at Napoli, his first goal in Serie A, in the 3-1 victory against Inter and the conquest of the 2022/23 Italian Champion title. He leaves Napoli after having played 31 games with the Neapolitans between the Champions League, league and national cups.

The attacking midfielder has already undergone medical tests in Rome this morning. He will now follow his teammates in tomorrow's away match in Lecce, on the occasion of the third day of the championship. The formula is that of a loan with an obligation to buy for a figure of around six million euros.
