Israeli soldiers in Sardinia, M5S: "Unacceptable. Who organizes these trips?"

Who organizes the stays of Israeli reservists in Sardinia? Who is responsible for their safety? The Sardinian Five Star Movement is pressing the Meloni government over the presence of around a hundred IDF soldiers and their families in a tourist facility on the island .
This is "unacceptable" according to the regional coordinator of the M5S Alessandro Solinas , who recalls a similar case that emerged last year and that all the questions raised remained "unanswered".
"Who organizes these stays? Are there discussions between Italian and Israeli authorities? Who arranges and coordinates security measures? Who informs prefectures and law enforcement of the arrival of these groups?" Solinas asks. "Sardinian citizens," he insists, "have the right to know the truth. After what emerged last year and the news of recent days, the government cannot pretend to be completely unaware again."
The Five Star Movement member also recalls that the Regional Council officially recognized the State of Palestine almost two years ago.
Last Thursday, upon the arrival of four charter planes carrying reservists from Tel Aviv , about fifteen demonstrators protested at Elmas airport. They protested the presence on the island of soldiers involved in operations in Gaza and now Lebanon, both of which have resulted in high civilian casualties and the destruction of infrastructure.
