“Invitation to the Opera”, appointment in Quartu

Great opera in Quartu Sant'Elena , with a concert (free admission) scheduled for Sunday 20 October, at 6.30 pm, in the Sala degli Affreschi of the former Capuchin Convent .
“Invitation to the Opera” , this is the title of the event, which is part of the “Rethinking the City” event organized by the Municipality and includes the performance of the most famous arias from the 19th and 20th century Italian era and interludes from the great operatic repertoire with a listening guide to the pieces that will be performed.
The protagonist is the soprano Federica Di Rocco , an acclaimed interpreter on the international opera scene, fresh from an important concert in London at Buckingham Palace and expected on 12 November at the European Parliament in Brussels for an opera concert entirely dedicated to the Celebrations of the Puccini Centenary around the world.
The piano accompaniment, on October 20th, will be provided by Maestro Valerio Carta , a Sardinian pianist with an important concert activity under his belt.
