Five boys from the Parteolla comprehensive institute will be in Milan on May 25th to participate in the final of the 38th edition of the International Mathematics Championships. These are three pupils from Dolianova, one from Serdiana and one from Soleminis who passed the regional selections for the C1 category reserved for first and second middle school.

At the semi-final which took place in recent days in Monserrato, 571 young people from all over the island were present. 52 of them will go to play the final in Lombardy. The first classified in each category will form the team that will participate in the final in Paris on 25 and 26 August.

«We are very happy with this result which confirms last year's success – says Daniela Cocco, mathematics teacher and coordinator of the project – for us it is important that they grasp all aspects of the experience, get involved and participate by giving their best self. It's an important stimulus. Even the trip to Milan is a sort of reward. They always manage to surprise us with their ability to navigate situations that are totally new for many of them."
