The majority meeting coordinated by Minister Federico D'Incà which took place yesterday, as shared by the presidents of the Chamber and Senate, was an opportunity to check the progress of the reform proposals under discussion in the two branches of Parliament at a year from the end of the legislature.

During the meeting, full agreement was reached to rapidly advance the proposal to amend article 119 of the Constitution on insularity.

"We worked tirelessly to make people understand when the battle linked to insularity is strategic for the future of Sardinia, and the majority, at national level, recognized this in yesterday's meeting, indirectly paving the way for an acceleration of the parliamentary process of bill - comments Michele Cossa, of the Committee for the island -. During these two years, the Committee, with the contribution of everyone, has opened windows of comparison and dialogue, creating opportunities to investigate, also and above all at a technical level, the problems related to infrastructures, transport and the economic development of Sardinia in general. of which insularity is the main cause ".

“The proposed law of popular initiative, started from the bottom and supported by all civil society, runs in Parliament - explains Cossa - with the aim of restoring balance and justice in our Constitution to restore that lost dignity to Sardinia. After the go-ahead from the Senate, the bill is now preparing to have that of the Chamber of the Chamber. The second halfway point in Parliament will follow, once this last obstacle has been overcome, the principle of insularity will be included in Article 119 of the Constitution. The 'promotion' of the majority is the clear sign of the will expressed at the national level to carry out the reform of Sardinia with the agreement of all ”, concludes Cossa.
