A connection between musical institutions and the Italian song festival. This is the proposal launched by Ivano Iai, president of the National Conference of Presidents of Italian Conservatories (CO.PRE.CO.) and president of the "Canepa" Conservatory of Sassari: «The most talented students of Italian Conservatories could be included in the symphony orchestra of the Sanremo Festival».

The initiative would create a bridge between study and profession, offering students of the Conservatories the opportunity to play alongside the professionals of the Festival orchestra . "A concrete recognition of the fundamental role of these institutions in the history and future of Italian music. The Conservatories are the heart of the Italian musical tradition and must also be an active part in the evolution of contemporary music."

The idea matured during Ivano Iai's visit to the Conservatory of San Pietro a Majella in Naples , one of the oldest and most prestigious in the world.
