« Sardinia is the first and only region in Italy to have achieved all four ISO quality certifications ».

This was announced by the president of the Region Christian Solinas , who expressed satisfaction for "a record that demonstrates effective management of information systems and management processes relating to quality and safety".

«Sardinia - says the president - has taken a big leap forward by investing in innovation and research to raise quality standards and increase cybersecurity . Today more than ever the whole Public Administration is called to protect the quality needs of its citizens and to guarantee the security and confidentiality of their data».

The certification body Bureau Veritas Spa of Milan, world leader in the sector, has certified that the information and management systems of the General Directorate for Innovation and IT Security of the Regional Department of General Affairs comply with the requirements of international management standards.

«This recognition was possible thanks to the commitment, synergy and teamwork of the entire IT Innovation and Security General Management – commented the councilor for General Affairs, Andreina Farris -. The management systems and processes that have been found to comply with international standards are: ISO/IEC20000-1:2018; ISO/IEC 27000:2017 and ISO 22301:2019, which ensure quality, reliability and credibility to the General Management of Innovation and IT Security».

More specifically, the Region announces, «ISO/IEC 20000 - 1: 2018 represents the first international standard developed for the management of IT services, which aims to improve the delivery and use of IT services, setting the objective achievement of the highest quality and maximum cost containment. The second certification, on the other hand, specifies the requirements for implementing, maintaining and improving an information security management system, an indispensable standard for safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information managed by the organisation; while ISO 22301:2019 defines the requirements for an efficient business continuity management system, i.e. a certifiable methodology consisting of a set of practices aimed at maintaining business continuity in adverse conditions, minimizing the impact of potential incidents on the entire system of administration services. These three certifications are added to the ISO 9001:2015 already achieved by the General Management of Innovation and IT Security in February 2023, which guarantees the creation, implementation and management of a quality system for the public services provided».
