Inflation in Sardinia is below the national average (+1.9%), but price increases are also being felt in Cagliari, Olbia and Sassari.
This is reported in the latest report by the National Consumers Union , drawn up on the basis of Istat data relating to consumer prices for March 2025.
According to the UNC, the most expensive city in Italy is Bolzano, with an average annual increase
per family of 782 euros and an annual inflation of 2.7 , followed by Siena and Padua.
After Calabria, Sardinia is the most “thrifty” region , but, as mentioned, it is not immune to the general increase in prices, even if below the national average of 447 euros per year per family.
In detail: in Cagliari the average annual increase per family is 416 euros (with an annual inflation in March of +2%), in Olbia it is 362 euros (+1.8%) and in Sassari it is 302
(+1.5%).
At the regional level, there is an average annual increase for each family of 348 euros and an average annual inflation of +1.8% . However, these values are considered by the UNC to be in the “green zone”, very far from those recorded in March by Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto and Liguria, where the average annual increase per family fluctuates between 513 and 682 euros and where inflation, again in the month of March, largely exceeded 2%.
