A free seminar , organized by Ierfop Onlus , on the topic of inclusive language with a focus on visual impairment .
The appointment is for Thursday, November 14th in Cagliari (via Platone 3), and the aim is to offer the opportunity to learn to use a language that respects the identity of everyone.
Teacher Valentina Tomirotti, journalist and activist on the subject of rights of people with disabilities, will explain the importance of words in building a truly inclusive environment, in which people are always at the center regardless of individual characteristics.
During the seminar, which will last 8 hours (starting at 9) , the rules to follow in communicating about disability will be illustrated and the stigmatizations that can derive from the incorrect use of words will be analyzed .
The seminar is aimed at all those interested in the topic and, in particular, those who work in the world of media, communication, public relations, education and healthcare .
At the end of the seminar a certificate of participation will be issued .
