The artist Gavino Spezzigu donated to the village of Viddalba, where he moved from Ploaghe when he was still a child, a mural on the theme "The mute of Gallura", a story that takes place right between Viddalba and Trinità d'Agultu, at period of Aggius territories.

Born in 1985, Spezzigu graduated from the "Don Gavino Pes" Technical Commercial and Surveyors Institute in Tempio Pausania, and attended painting courses in Sassari with master Peppino Anfossi.

His inspiration, in addition to the passions of all forms of art and culture, comes from artists such as Wharhol, Kandinsky, Haring, Banksy. His is a “naked painting”, as he himself defines it, that is, he intends to bring the represented subject to the maximum synthesis using the sharp break between black and white, colors he uses in most of his works.

The meeting with the artist Angela Spano gave new incentives to continue painting by exhibiting in Oristano in 2019 various creations depicting scenes of Sardinian life and traditions.

In 2021 he created a series of murals in Badesi together with other artists. This year, in April, the gift to Viddalba of the mural located on the main street, via Gramsci, a few steps from the Madonna di Pompei Parish and the ancient "San Giovanni" Church.
