Tomorrow at 12 on the Treviso field there is one more reason to look for an important victory for the classification: for Jack Devecchi it will be the 700th match in the Dinamo jersey. A record of loyalty (sixteenth season in Sassari) that has no equal among active players in the top flight.
The captain has collected 140 matches in A2 (including one in the Italian Cup), 403 appearances in the top flight, 35 between the Italian Cup and the Super Cup and 121 matches in the European Cups. A flag of Sardinian basketball, but also an example for all Italian basketball.
Cousin of Danilo Gallinari, debutant in Milan, Jack Devecchi arrived in Sardinia in the summer of 2006. Since then he has always been confirmed, not only for the technical qualities, but also for the human ones: seriousness, spirit of sacrifice in the gym every day , regardless of the space on the field on Sunday, an amazing defensive model that earned him the nickname of Minister of Defense, balance and availability. He is the only player to have won all the trophies on the Sassari showcase.
Dinamo want to celebrate it with a victory, even if it will be tough against Treviso, which overcame the qualifying rounds of the Champions League and won the first match of the group stage against Riga for 91-85, while in the league they defeated Tortona and Venice, falling to surprise on the field of the freshman Napoli for 80-72.
Also noteworthy are the two ex from Treviso who wear the biancoblù jersey: guard David Logan and center Christian Mekowulu.
