His wife Maria Antonietta Addis had studied at the Liceo Classico Azuni and his father-in -law Antonio Addis had even taught mathematics from the 1930s to the 1960s. Thus the Piacenza notary-jurist Alberto Vullo , a passionate lover of literature, inserted in his will a sum destined for the establishment of two scholarships worth ten thousand euros each and to divide them into scholarships of one thousand euros for each school year, for the most deserving fifth-year students in the humanities area of the Sassari high school and the "Melchiorre Gioia" high school in Piacenza.

The first two students (graduated with 100 cum laude from Azuni in Sassari) to win the Vullo-Dettori scholarship of 500 euros each were Giulia Lubelli and Luca Dettori , former students of the logical-philosophical path and of the classical curriculum traditional of Azuni High School. Giulia and Luca are now respectively enrolled in Biotechnology and Medicine at the University of Sassari.

The certificates of the scholarships were presented to the winners , in the presence of the head teacher Antonio Deroma, by Professor Enzo Vullo, son of the notary and professor of civil procedural law at the Department of Law of the University of Sassari for more than twenty years after over a decade of academic activity in Trieste.
