The second edition of the event "The roots of legality" is held today in Sinnai , conceived and promoted by the 2nd H class of the primary school in Via Caravaggio. In 2021 the little pupils and pupils wrote a letter to the mayor Tarcisio Anedda asking that a green area be identified to be dedicated to the victims of the mafia attacks and, in particular, to the agent Emanuela Loi, the first woman who lost her life in service. For the occasion, the Comprehensive Institute No. 2 and the municipal administration chose to redevelop the green area adjacent to the Via Caravaggio complex and to plant olive trees in memory of the victims. This year the event, at the request of girls and boys, is repeated in order to keep the attention of schools and the community alive towards such an important issue as that of fighting the mafia.

The event also wants to represent a moment of reflection and an opportunity to raise awareness on the precious value of legality. During the event, a composition of stone flowers created by the class will be inaugurated with the aim of embellishing the green area, equipping it, every year to come, with new decorative elements.

In addition to the schools and the municipal administration, the event includes the participation of the Quaestor of Cagliari, Paolo Rossi , the Quaestor of Oristano, Giuseppe Giardina , of various agents who carry out the project activities on legality with schools and of a representative of the School of the Abbasanta CAIP Police Department.
