The appointment is for Saturday at 8.30pm in the heart of the historic center of Sassari : the monumental church of Santa Caterina, a symbol of faith and devotion for thousands of Sassari residents and the pride of the entire city. The church, in fact, was the first in Sardinia to be built according to counter-reformist liturgical-architectural canons, outlined by the Council of Trent. The VI edition of the Grand Christmas Concert will see the Nova Euphonia Vocal Ensemble and the Città di Sassari Student Choir perform, both directed by Maestro Vincenzo Cossu, creator of the event.

Bitti's Tenores are the guest stars of the event, organized in collaboration with the Maria Carta Foundation.

The two choirs directed by maestro Cossu, united in a super formation of around 70 elements, will perform songs from the Christmas tradition, inspired by the themes of peace and solidarity . They will also perform the world premiere of the song "A Christmas Night" with original lyrics written by David Soames, co-author of the famous "In My Defense" by Freddie Mercury. The choirs will be accompanied by musicians Walter Masala on piano, Gabriele Griva on guitar, Gabriele Serra on percussion and Gabriele Bella on electric bass.

Also this year the historic collaboration with the Emergency group of Sassari is confirmed. Participating in the evening will be Don Marco Carta, Parish Priest of San Nicola and Santa Caterina, the Councilor for Culture of Sassari, Laura Useri, the representative of the Maria Carta Foundation, Manuela Palitta, Rita Diez, head of the Emergency group of Sassari, representatives of the community Ukraine.
