A meeting that dispels ulterior motives. Yesterday in Sassari, in the Ex-Ma hall in via Zanfarino, the first city congress of Fratelli d'Italia was held, which, with the unanimous acclaim of Luca Babudieri as coordinator, has dispelled the controversy over an alleged split of the Melonians in the capital of Turritano.
"We are satisfied - says Babudieri - with this joint congress we have shown that the party is alive and that the criticisms were unfounded". The reference is to the clash over the merger, in recent months, of the Audax and Shardana circles into that of Fratelli d'Italia Sassari with some sparks.
"From 10 members in 2019, we now have almost 350, the largest group in all of Sardinia". A significant result that aims to build an alternative both locally and regionally. Attending the congress yesterday were representatives of the city's right, Forza Italia, Civici, Sardegna Venti20, Riformatori but also those of Psd'Az with Antonio Moro, of Alleanza Sardegna, as well as Senator Giovanni Satta, the regional coordinator FdI Francesco Mura, the provincial coordinator Barbara Polo, the Honorable Francesca Masala, the current mayor of Sassari Giuseppe Mascia and the previous mayor Nanni Campus.
"With the election of the city coordination we will not close ourselves off, on the contrary we will be active as always on social issues and we will open the party to the contributions of members". Also planned are thematic departments and the intent, concludes Babudieri, to "move away from politics understood as a self-referential activity".
The city coordination is formed by Pietro Pedoni, Luigi Todini, Giuliano Chessa, Mario Lai, Alessandro Sanna, Daniela Nurra, Uccio Sanna, Roberto Cadeddu, Maurizio Usai, Angelo Cadeddu, Maria Assunta Argiolas, Giacomo Nieddu, Elio Cresci, Franco Sechi and Laura Cossu.
