The first instant book on the much-discussed application of the energy transition in Sardinia arrives in Sassari. The political-cultural association Sa Domo de Totus will host on Tuesday in Sassari at the headquarters in via Frigaglia 14b (starting at 6 pm) the presentation of the work of the investigative journalist Piero Loi , entitled " Barones de s'energia – Eolico, fotovoltaico, methane: l'attacco coloniale delle rinnovate in Sardegna" published by the independent periodical Indip . This instant book, the first of its kind dedicated to "energy speculation" in Sardinia, addresses one of the most urgent issues of the political and social debate on the island: the management of the energy future and the transition model to adopt to guarantee fair energy sustainability, compatible with the territory and the communities that inhabit it.
"Piero Loi's work - says Fabrizio Cossu, president of the association - highlights how Sardinia is increasingly becoming a land of conquest for multinational energy companies, investment banks and oil entrepreneurs who, under the pretext of renewable energy, are imposing a new energy colonialism".
Cossu continues: "With clear language the book denounces the risks of this race for renewables, which often hides economic interests extraneous to the needs of the Sardinian community and also clarifies the reasons that have given rise to an unprecedented popular movement that is fighting to stop speculation".
