The archaeological, sea and maritime traditions museum. The Marine Protected Area of Capo Testa-Punta Falcone will open it. It will be located in a municipal building in the square, the former Esit area, which overlooks the Spanish Tower and the Strait of Bonifacio. There is already a contribution from the Sardinia Region. "We will soon restore the structure and set it up," says Yuri Donno, director of the MPA.
«The finds recovered with the Anfitrite project will be placed there», an activity started some time ago aimed at understanding and enhancing the underwater archaeological heritage of the MPA. There will also be a large collection of shells recovered in the Strait of Bonifacio and in the Teresino sea, which will be provided by the naturalistic association Giovanni Cesaraccio Pro Natura of La Maddalena, of which Tommaso Gamboni is president, an association that already manages the Geominarological Museum in Caprera, at the National Park facilities. Another part of the museum will be dedicated to seafaring traditions, to the professions «of the fishermen used in times gone by, of the old Longoni». Here, starting from the end of the 19th century, a colony of fishermen from Ponza and nearby areas came to settle, whose descendants are still significantly present in the Teresina community, as many surnames typical of those areas testify.
