There is great excitement in San Teodoro for the concert of the great pianist and composer Nicola Piovani. The Maestro, Oscar winner for best soundtrack in 1999 for the film "Life is beautiful" by Roberto Benigni, will perform in Piazza Lucca on Friday 21 July at 21:30 with the show, with free admission, "Music is dangerous". The concert, produced and distributed by the Musica per Roma Foundation, is organized by the cultural association of music and performing arts Musiklab Academy together with the Municipality of San Teodoro, Department of Tourism, Culture, Events and Entertainment, under the artistic direction of Maria Antonietta Of Nardo.

The eagerly awaited exhibition is a story in music with which maestro Piovani accompanies the audience along the jagged paths that led him to flank the work of De André, Fellini, Magni, instrumental singers as well as Spanish, French, Dutch, both for the theater and for cinema and television, alternating the execution of theatrically unpublished pieces with new versions of better known music, rearranged for the occasion. An evocative theatrical tale expressed by the notes, as well as the piano of the master, of different instruments. Marina Cesari on sax/clarinet, Pasquale Filastò on cello and guitar, Vittorino Naso, drums and percussion, Marco Loddo on double bass and Sergio Colicchio, keyboards and accordion, will be the musicians who will accompany him.

The scene videos integrate the story with images from films, shows and, above all, with those that artists such as Milo Manara have dedicated to Piovani's musical work. A concert that traces over forty years of uninterrupted career, competence and genius, life and music experiences and meetings with the greatest directors, from Fellini to Taviani, from Cerami to Benigni. Through his piano, maestro Nicola Piovani will share experiences, memories and emotions of his career between music, cinema and theater with the public, retracing the stages of his artistic and human journey, anecdotes and many curiosities.

«We are honored by Maestro Piovani's presence at our Festival - adds the artistic director Maria Antonietta Di Nardo - For us at the Musiklab Academy, which we have been operating in the area for several years, dealing with education and dissemination of musical culture through music workshops, master classes, events and concert reviews, the concert on Friday 21 July is a dream come true and certainly represents an important milestone that significantly marks the path that our association has undertaken in the cultural and social sphere in the territory to which it belongs. An appointment that rewards the commitment and hard work of building resilience over the years. We try, through our activities and initiatives, to actively contribute to the cultural growth of our country and to give, to those who look at us from the outside, a different, unprecedented and learned vision of San Teodoro. So not only sea and sun but much more. The work done and the experiences made over the years have been a precious source of growth and enrichment through which the Musiklab has created synergies, collaborations and continuous comparisons with the various local cultural realities and on the national and international scene. It is no coincidence that the common thread of the Festival narrates The paths of inspiration – A journey through art, music and the cultures of the territories».

A cultural proposal of the highest level in the rich summer programming of the coastal Municipality that the administration has embraced with great enthusiasm. «It would be simplistic to settle for being just a tourist destination - comments the Artistic Director Maria Antonietta Di Nardo - We look to the future with ambition and we will commit ourselves with even more determination to carry out other important projects. May this new version of the Musica in Crescendo Festival, conceived and staged outside the canonical walls of music, be the tow hook for many other synergies, projects and cultural proposals of increasingly high artistic and cultural profile. We strongly believe in it and for this we want to thank the Municipality of San Teodoro, the Teodorina community and above all the assessor for Tourism, Culture, Events and Entertainment, as well as deputy mayor, Luciana Cossu, for giving us a voice and trust. We greatly appreciate the commitment with which he meticulously follows, together with his team, supporting with rare sensitivity all the cultural activities proposed by the local realities, beating hearts and pieces of a larger mosaic. Unity is strength. In short, creating a system is certainly the fundamental ingredient for the success of ideas and San Teodoro is proving it year after year».
