Exactly one month from April 28th, the Municipality of Oristano will celebrate Sa Die de Sa Sardigna with a great musical event made possible thanks to the contribution of the Sardinian Region.

By will of the municipal Councilor for Culture Luca Faedda, the city of Eleonora will host this evening, Tuesday 28 May, starting at 8.30 pm a large event with free entry at the San Domenico auditorium.

The civic administration, with the artistic direction of Maestro Riccardo Zinzula, who is also head of the Civic School of Music of Oristano, has organized a concert of Sardinian music involving leading personalities of the island's artistic scene who will perform songs in limba with the presentation of an expert host like Roberto Arfeli and the historical-cultural interventions of Professor Arianna Garau, literature teacher in public schools and graduated with top marks with a thesis on Sa Die de Sa Sardigna.

For the performances the famous Bolotanese singer Maria Giovanna Cherchi was involved , standard-bearer of Sardinian songwriting revisited in an ethno pop key beyond the Tyrrhenian Sea and at an international level, much loved in Sardinian circles abroad and presenter of the programs in Sardinian on Rai 3 in the programs regional events dedicated to the dissemination of the island's culture and protagonist of the successful Videolina format in prime time “C'è Scraffingiu per te” together with the legendary character of the most comical Mayor of the Island played by Alessandro Pili.

Also present will be the Sa Pintadera Choirs of Oristano and Ghentiana di Ruinas directed by Giovanni Andrea Puddu, the Bonucaminu Female Choir of Ardauli, directed by Michele Turnu, professor of choral singing at the Civic School of Music and the Santa Cecilia Choir of Arborea directed by Riccardo Zinzula: the 4 groups will sing in Sardinian some of the masterpieces of the traditional island song to the delight of the many enthusiasts and lovers of the limba chorality which brings together thousands of singers in the Oristano area.

For the instrumental part, Giuliano Armas, also a accordion and accordion teacher at the Scuola Civica di Musica, will alternate on stage with the launeddas of Sergio Balia, virtuoso of the three reeds and tireless popularizer of the ancient instrument, unique in the world, appreciated by specialists of the ethnomusicology of all continents.
