It will be the show " Buono come il porridge " by Luca Cupani, arriving directly from Zelig on Canale 5, to inaugurate, on December 3rd , the cultural season of the Teatro Comunale di Ittiri which is preparing for a historic turning point.

"We have made an important investment both in terms of adapting the system and in terms of programming, with the intention of entrusting it to professionals - declared the mayor, Antonio Sau -. Until now, the theater has only ever been used occasionally for demonstrations and institutional events. The novelty lies in the possibility of planning an entire season of theatrical, cinematic and artistic performances, and leading the community towards healthy entertainment that no longer passes only through the traditional sports and associative offer, for which the Municipality has already made significant investments but also through cultural growth».

Funds have been allocated in the budget for the requalification of the structure, which has been embellished with a curtain, a projector and a cinema screen, a service, an efficient acoustic system and all the equipment necessary for a fruition of professional type. The rooms, starting from the entrance, have been transformed into a full-fledged theater hall, thanks to the work of the visual artist Marcello Scalas.

A rich calendar of events is coming up until May 2023 thanks to the management entrusted to Mab Teatro di Sassari under the artistic direction of Daniele Monachella.

»The goal – Daniele Monachella reiterated – is to offer the community of Ittiri and the Coros area the opportunity to benefit from the cultural offer that the market produces through theatre, music, live entertainment and its transversal aspects ».

But there is another even more ambitious goal. As the city councilor for Culture, Baingio Cuccu explained : «It is to place the Theater at the center of a cultural pole, together with the Liliana Cano Museum of Contemporary Art, alongside which the Museum of the Coros territory will rise, embracing the environmental, ethnographic and historical-archaeological sectors, and therefore the Franciscan Library, in whose premises the Municipal Library will be inserted. An important piece of what we had imagined as a cultural city».
