There is great anticipation for the inauguration of the 2022/23 program of great prose at the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari , the theatrical season organized by Cedac Sardegna thanks to the support of the Region, the ministry, the Municipality of Cagliari and the Foundation of Sardinia.

Two great actors like Mariangela D'Abbraccio and Giorgio Pasotti will open a roundup of appointments assembled by the artistic director Valeria Ciabattoni, who will offer the Cagliari public shows of extraordinary level.

A rich program with eleven titles from November to April with the great protagonists of the scene, including classic immortals and contemporary texts, with forays into the imaginative world of the nouveau cirque and four titles from January to April in the sign of the art of Terpsichore, from the masterpieces from the history of ballet to the creations of important choreographers, for an overview of the most interesting national and international productions.

Cagliari will be the capital of theater and dance with artists of the caliber of Maddalena Crippa , directed by Peter Stein in Harold Pinter's "The Birthday", in the national premiere, and Remo Girone starring in "The Nazi Hunter" directed by Giorgio Gallione .

Maria Paiato and Mariangela Granelli will be grappling with David Mamet's “scandalous” and hilarious “Boston Marriage” while Lucrezia Lante della Rovere, alongside Stefano Santospago , will stage Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt's “Divine Sarah”.

Do not miss the all-female pairing of Maria Amelia Monti with Marina Massironi in "The invisible husband" by Edoardo Erba.

Again "The Imaginary Sick" by Molière in the interpretation of Emilio Solfrizzi , and, another national premiere in the capital, Ninni Bruschetta in "Mille", an original comedy written and directed by Andrea Muzzi on the paradox of kindness.

The first will be with the Grand Gala of the Ukrainian Classical Ballet between dizzying solos and pas de deux from the classical and contemporary repertoire.

"La Danse / Bolero" by the Koresh Dance Company, two creations by the Israeli choreographer Roni Koresh inspired by a painting by Matisse and the famous score by Ravel, give way to "Astor - A century of Tango" with the dancers of the Ballet of Rome and accordionist Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, for a tribute to the great Argentine composer signed by Valerio Longo and Carlos Branca and ends with a flourish with Johan Inger's "Don Juan" for Aterballetto, a story for paintings on the figure of Don Giovanni and the myth of the eternal seducer, inconstant and reckless, in search of an unattainable love.

Today, therefore, the awaited inauguration with "Hamlet", the play by Alessandro Angelini and Antonio Prisco, freely taken from "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare, on the bill until November 13, every day from Wednesday to Saturday at 20.30, Sunday at 7pm and Friday 11th November double performance with the afternoon at 4.30pm.

In the spotlight, with two authentic champions of Italian theater loved by the public such as Mariangela D'Abbraccio and Giorgio Pasotti, Gerardo Maffei, Claudia Tosoni, Diego Migeni, Pio Stellaccio, Salvatore Rancatore and Andrea Papale.

Francesco Tavassi signs the direction of the show, produced by TSA / Teatro Stabile d'Abruzzo, Stefano Francioni Produzioni and Fattore K, which projects the story against the backdrop of a sumptuous court where vice and corruption reign, while the protagonist gets lost in his thoughts, in an almost metaphysical dimension, between moods and contrasting emotions.
