The Teatro Massimo in Cagliari will host an evening dedicated to the unforgettable figure of Marisa Sannia on May 27, starting at 7 pm, on the occasion of the new release of the book "Marisa Sannia, la voce del vento e del mare" written by Giacomo Serreli (Francesco Brioschi Editore) 17 years after the death of the Sardinian artist. An event organized thanks to the Marisa Sannia Cultural Association and which will see the author, accompanied in the foyer by the music critic Mario Luzzato Fegiz, tell the story of an all-round artist.
Together with Serreli, also the singer-songwriter Grazia Di Michele, who immediately after the presentation of the book, at 8:30 pm, will go on stage with "Poesie di carta", a tribute to the early work of Federico Garcia Lorca, an author much loved by Sannia. The book retraces the stages of the artist's career, from his debut in the Sixties to the long years away from show business.
A story that is not only the chronicle of a success, but first of all that of a young island girl passionate about music and basketball who managed to reach the stage of Sanremo. Versatile and eclectic, Marisa Sannia was a talented artist in various fields: from song to musicarelli, from advertising to theater. Her creativity was best expressed through the rediscovery of the Sardinian language in the albums "Melagranàda", "Nanas e Janas" and "Sa oghe de su entu e de su mare", and then again through her love for the Spanish language with the posthumous "Rosa de papel", inspired by the lyrics of Federico García Lorca.
Grazia Di Michele immersed herself in the artist's world and listening in particular to "Rosa de papel" she emerged with a precious treasure entitled "Poesie di Carta". An evocative concert, whose songs in the setlist are interspersed and enriched by her thoughts (in some cases transmitted by her own voice) with photos, videos, reflections, excerpts of scripts written for the presentation of her theatrical shows, original translations of poems, unpublished songs, fragments of concerts that she did not have time to stage.
Having enlisted Marisa's historical collaborators, Grazia Di Michele has thus constructed "Poesie di carta", a refined concert studded with songs in Italian, Sardinian, Spanish which sees on stage the musicians Marco Piras (piano), Fabrizio Fabiano (cello), Bruno Piccinnu (percussion), Fabiano Lelli (guitar) and Ermanno Dodaro (double bass).
