«This is not a love story, because love is not, nor will it ever be, violence, persecution or oppression» , we read in the information sheet that accompanies the novel on the main web platforms. «This is the story of Maria: young, beautiful, intelligent, whose life ends up falling back on the dictates of a small town and the abuses of Salvatore, her husband, with whom she joined through an arranged marriage. This is the story of all those women who, every day, tacitly suffer violence, suffocating their pain in fear."
The term "meri", in Sardinian, indicates the "master". With the connotation of the article, “sa”, indicates “the mistress”.
Daniela Frigau, 38 years old, graduated in Psychology , discovered her passion for writing while at high school and thanks to attending some creative writing courses. In 2011 he published his first novel: “If I were a shell I would love you forever”. Followed by “Children of the soul”, “Mer'e Domu” and “Mamai”.
