It's time to take stock at Arzachena Academy Costa Smeralda. With the season concluded with yesterday's final matchday of the Promozione championship, the Gallura club's general manager took to social media to comment on the season just ended and reveal plans for next year, for which the club has already confirmed Mauro Ottaviani as coach of the first team.
"We're finishing this season in seventh place, which represents a safe place achieved well ahead of schedule and without any particular difficulty. A result that, on the surface, might seem simply positive, but for us it has an even deeper meaning," Zucchi began. "Over the course of the season, we managed to build, day after day, a cohesive group, composed first of men and then of players. This is undoubtedly the aspect of which I'm most proud. We faced difficult moments, as is normal in a long and demanding championship, but the team," explains the Arzachena director, "always responded with unity, a spirit of sacrifice, and a sense of belonging. These values allowed us to maintain a stable position in the standings and achieve our goal with serenity."
Zucchi then spoke about the future: "The technical team's goal is to continue the work already done. The group that has been formed represents a solid foundation on which to build the future, and we hope to be able to count on many of these players next season as well, continuing the growth path we've undertaken."
Finally, a message of solidarity with Tuttavista Galtellì, who yesterday, after a 5-0 first-half win against Arzachena, failed to return to the Biagio Pirina stadium for the restart, resulting in the match being suspended and forfeited. As things stand, the club will lose 5-0. "I take this opportunity to express my solidarity with Tuttavista Galtellì for what happened on this final day of the championship," Zucchi said. "I wish the club and its members every success in overcoming the difficulties and making a strong start next season."
