Preview at the Mariposa de Cardu Garden Garden, in the locality of Idanu, tomorrow, Tuesday 11 June at 6.30 pm, for the new production of Il crogiuolo "Ajo', ajo': contus po si spassiai e contixeddus po si stentai".
«Sardinian fairy tales are pearls of wisdom taken from very ancient traditions that the elderly passed on to children through oral storytelling. Many of these stories had been collected by Francesco Mango, a Calabrian teacher in an opera "Sardinian popular short stories" from 1890", explains Rita Atzeni, president of the association and creator of the Mariposa de cardu project, dedicated to her sister Luisa and brother Stefano who passed away prematurely. The show draws inspiration from this collection. Created and directed by Carla Orrù (with Carla Orrù, Andrea Mameli, Rita Pau, Raffaelangela Pani) it is recommended for boys and girls aged 3 to 10 years. “Contus po si spassiai e contixeddus po si stentai” is in the Campidanese Sardinian language where the actors tend to tell true or mysterious stories, stories of poverty, misery, sudden wealth, of destinies exchanged by chance, of fools, of brides, widows and intrigue. They tell stories of a community, of facts and people and of specific environments and events. Through fun it is possible to make known the stories born in Sardinia, the language and the traditions.
The show is constructed with light, fun and at times ironic tones. The actors act, trying to entertain the audience with nursery rhymes, songs and expressions in the Campidanese Sardinian language. The music and songs serve to enhance the fast-paced and lively pace of the staging. The props and costumes enrich and enliven the show. The show will then be staged the following day, Wednesday 12 June at 5pm, at Casa Saddi in via Ettore Fieramosca 17 in Cagliari, as part of the Teatro Ragazzi festival "And - we're at the park".
