"I always play with pleasure if there is a receptive and attentive audience like the one I found here in Sassari". Thus the famous violinist Uto Ughi, after the success of the concert at the Teatro Comunale organized by the Concerti Marialisa De Carolis. Ughi then complimented the orchestra of the opera house : "It is composed of very flexible, intelligent musicians, who have the ability to do excellent things".

A packed house and great applause for the performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Ughi did not limit himself to playing his 1701 Stradivarius: he explained to the audience step by step the original sonnets by Antonio Vivaldi . "I tried to introduce the audience to the sonnet corresponding to the music they were listening to," the maestro specified at the end of the concert. After the Four Seasons, the encores requested by the audience offered the audience the First movement of the Concerto for 2 violins, strings and continuo BWV 1043 by J.S. Bach and "Oblivion" by Astor Piazzolla, version for solo violin and string orchestra.

Uto Ughi's performance was the penultimate event in the 2024 symphonic season, which will close on October 19 with a lyric-symphonic concert by the "Sic itur ad astra" Foundation, a non-profit association based in Liechtenstein that supports young artists from the beginning of their careers and introduces them to the profession.
