A crucial event for the Sardinian economy is expected, focusing on the "Future of Finance," the event scheduled for December 10th to strategically connect ideas, businesses, and financial resources. The initiative, promoted by the Chambers of Commerce of Sassari, Nuoro, and Cagliari-Oristano, whose conference rooms will be interconnected via video link, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The morning's opening, moderated by journalist and Sky Tg24-Agenda host Lavinia Spingardi, will feature greetings and institutional introductions from the presidents of the Sardinian Chambers of Commerce: Stefano Visconti for Sassari, Maurizio de Pascale for Cagliari-Oristano, and Agostino Cicalò for Nuoro. They will be joined by representatives of the national Unioncamere and, to underscore the regional importance of the initiative, the President of the Sardinia Regional Council, Alessandra Todde.

The focus will then shift to the role of national policies, with a special focus on the challenges and opportunities of alternative finance. Carlo Cottarelli, director of the Observatory of Italian Public Accounts at the Catholic University of Rome, will speak on this topic.

The next session, entitled "New Financial Players in the Real Economic Context: Expert Discussion," will highlight the key players driving change in the financial landscape. Maria Teresa Cardinale, representing Simest for Corporate Relations, Central and Southern Enterprises, Participatory Investments, and Subsidized Finance, will be present, along with Riccardo Barbieri, President of SFIRS – Società Finanziaria Regione Sardegna.
The heart of the event will be the round table discussion on "Alternative Finance for Sardinian SMEs: the Hub4Fin-Spoke 4 Project."

A broad and distinguished panel will discuss the topic, starting with presentations by Pietro Esposito, Secretary General of the Sassari Chamber of Commerce, and Tiziana Pompei, Director General of Si.Camera, joined by Gianmarco Paglietti, Head of the "Sustainability Studies and Research" Area at Innexta. Also participating will be Gianluca Cadeddu, Program Manager of the PNRR project "Ecosystem of Innovation for Next Generation Sardinia," and Monica Cugia, Head of the Economic Promotion Service at the Sassari Chamber of Commerce. The debate will also feature representatives from the banking and academic worlds, including Paola Del Fabro, Head of Corporate Finance and Special Credit at Banco di Sardegna Spa, and university professors Alessio Scano (Commercial Law, University of Sassari) and Riccardo De Lisa (Economics of Financial Intermediaries, University of Cagliari).
