Saudi organizer "Riad Season" has announced the postponement of the third edition of the "Six Kings Slam" exhibition tournament—which brings together tennis's biggest names and was scheduled to take place at the end of October—following the bloody attacks by Yemeni Houthis against Saudi Arabia.

The event, originally scheduled for October 21-24, has been moved to December 27-30, according to a statement from Riad Season shared on X by Turki Alalshikh, president of the General Entertainment Authority.

The exhibition tournament, featuring a rich prize pool of 12 million (1.5 each for just participating, 6 for the winner), saw Jannik Sinner triumph in the first two editions, who was absent this year due to knee problems.

This year, Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, Serbian Novak Djokovic, German Alexander Zverev, Americans Taylor Fritz and Learner Tien, and Australian Alex de Minaur would have participated.

For several years, Saudi Arabia has pursued a policy of hosting major sporting events on its territory and is expected to host an ATP Masters 1000 tournament from 2028. However, this strategy has suffered setbacks due to the outbreak of war between the United States and Iran in late February and, more recently, the conflict in Yemen between the Houthis (backed by Iran) and government forces (backed by a military coalition led by Riyadh).
