"Sardinia is appreciated all over the world, there are tourists who are moved when they see our crystal-clear sea . But we must think about protecting and safeguarding our island." This was the alarm raised yesterday by Marco Mainas, president of Confcommercio Sud Sardegna , during the presentation at the Cagliari Chamber of Commerce of the first tourism real estate observatory curated by Fiaip Sardegna.

The day's focus was on surveying sales and rental values in the island's coastal towns, where property buyers and renters —who come from all over the world— are drawn to the natural marine paradise, now threatened by the invasion of renewables . "We agree on the aspects regarding evolution and green energy, but we oppose the forms of speculation that so many are currently pursuing," emphasized the president of Confcommercio.
