Hospitality and culture: the 38th edition of the Ittiri Folk Festa was presented
It will take place from July 19 to 25, with the participation of groups from all over the world
An event where everyone can dance, under the banner of hospitality, folklore and culture. These are the prerogatives of the 38th edition of the Ittiri Folk Festa , organized by the Ittiri Cannedu association in collaboration with the Municipality of Ittiri and in synergy with the Bolotana Folk Festival, officially presented this morning.
It starts on July 19 at 21 in the "S'Abbadorzu" Fountain in Ittiri, with a sort of prologue thanks to the Festival of the National Dance Company "Gurjaani" in Tbilisi. On the 20th we will move to Alghero where at 9.30 pm, in Lo Quarter, the groups from Peru, Georgia, Molise and the Folk Group "Su Furione" from Nule will be the protagonists.
Friday 21, from 9 pm, space for the special edition of "Sonos de Ballu" dedicated to world music and in memory of Alessandro Taver a: folklore and its evolution with the Calabrian tarantella, Giuliano Gabriele's trio offering music from the center and southern Italy, Agorà-La piazza cantata, the Grupo Indoamerica from Ecuador, the Tumbarinos association from Gavoi and the “Ammenti Passaddi” group from Sassari.
Saturday morning at 12 the Town Hall hosts the foreign delegations and the Zenìas Prize which will be assigned to Pino and the Antibodies . In the afternoon the Mountain Bike Trophy, the tableau vivant in a period house (repeated on Sunday) and at 10 pm in the "Missingiagu" park the dance with the groups of Peru, Georgia, Ecuador, Molise, San Giovanni in Galdo, Quartu Sant'Elena , Ottana and Ittiri.
Sunday 23 July, in the Church of San Pietro, the Mass of the Peoples dedicated to Beauties and the presentation of the official program of Ittiri Folk Festa will be celebrated at 11.
Six foreign groups , coming from New Zealand (Taumata Whitireia of Wellington), Bolivia (Academia de Danzas FokloricasAdaf – La Paz), Ecuador (Grupo Indoamerica of Ambato), Peru (Asociaciòn cultural “Sentimiento y Tradiciòn” of Lima), Senegal ( Ballet Dakar) and Georgia Don Mario Simula. At 18 there will be the Grand Parade with all the foreign and Sardinian groups, for a total of 21 groups. At 10 pm still dancing at the “Missingiagu” Park with Senegal, Bolivia, New Zealand, Peru, Georgia, Molinas, Florinas and Oristano.
On Monday 24 July, at 7 pm, in the courtyard of the social aggregation center, the recital of the influencers Floris and Nu "Dancing in the rain" is scheduled and at 9.30 pm in Piazza Marconi the "Review of flavors and music from the world" with Peru, Georgia, Ecuador, Molise and of course Sardinia.
Tuesday 25 July at 21 in the Seunis amphitheater in Thiesi the Grand Finale "Mesumundu in Thiesi" in collaboration with Su Consonnu Santu Juanne de Thiesi, with the show proposed by Peru, Georgia, Ecuador, Molise and Sardinia.
