1.5 million passengers on domestic routes between May and August 2022. A historic milestone is that of Cagliari airport, which sets a new all-time record .

In the last 4 months, in total, about 2.1 million travelers have chosen the Elmas airport and, of these, 1.5 million have traveled on national routes, over 600 thousand on international ones.

The domestic segment is precisely the one that records the highest figure ever, with growth - compared to the same period in 2019 - of around 6% and over 37% compared to 2021.

As for international passengers , in the summer of 2022 they reach + 137% in comparison with 2021, approaching the 2019 data: a recovery, in practice, of about 90% of all Covid prepandemic foreign traffic.

Considering the first eight months of 2022, the airport is close to 3 million travelers , a figure which shows an 88% growth in comparison with the same period last year.

Lastly, aircraft movements are on the rise, to 23,000, therefore 57 percent more than in 2021.

While since the beginning of the year the reduction of connections in territorial continuity , linked to the new European tender, has been about 2,400 flights compared to 2019 (-30%), of which about 600 only in August (-40%).
