The tenth edition of the "City of Olbia Literary Award" ended this evening with the awards ceremony in the Simpliciana Library.
Like every year, many prose and poetry texts arrived on the commission's table from all over the peninsula. First place in the short stories section in Italian Ginevra Puccetti from Porcari (LU) with “Vai e non voltarti” followed by Davide Madeddu from Cagliari with “La sagra della primavera” and Roberto Foieni from Corsico (MI) with “Gherradores”.
In the short stories section in Gallura and Logudorese, “L'isola di Suiddatu” by the Maddalena native Domenico Mario Battaglia prevailed (who also won a special mention in the poetry section with “In una notte brei”), second place for Gianfranco Garrucciu from Tempi with “Sedda”, third place Maria Gerolama Masala, from Ittiri, with “Ammentos”; there were two special mentions, for “Mariancula” by Mario Pirrigheddu from Tempio and “Sa mensus cosa” by Sandro Biccai from Sindia. Among the poems in Gallura and Logudorese, the winner is "La ciminea" by Angelo Contini from Arzache; also on the podium “Istranzos Malos” by Francesco Sotgiu from Oristano and “Bisos” by Angelo Maria Ardu from Flussio. Special mention to Andrea Columbanu with “Sintori di sciauri”.
The young Olbia native Alexandra Anghel won the junior short stories section with “The unimaginable”. The evening was presented by Salvatore Gusinu, the music curated by the students of "De Andrè", Olbia branch.
