Thirteen years without seeing her daughter. Heather Parisi breaks her silence on her relationship with Jacqueline Luna Di Giacomo and, as a guest on "Verissimo," opens up about a family distance that has lasted more than a decade. "I admit I've told white lies in the past, I've dodged some questions," says the 66-year-old former dancer. A choice she explains had a specific reason: "I did it to protect my daughter." Then she reveals the length of their separation: "We haven't seen each other for 13 years." As for the reason for the breakup, there's no word on the matter.

Jacqueline, born in 2000 from her relationship with orthopedist Giovanni Di Giacomo, is now 26 and has become the mother of Enea, a son with her partner Ultimo. Heather Parisi hasn't met her grandson yet. The showgirl has said she's remained distant from this part of her daughter's life as well. "People don't know what they're talking about. She and I know the truth. We need to let her and I talk and clarify things when the time is right," she says. And she thinks back to the bond she had with Jacqueline when she was a child: "We had an extraordinary, special relationship, and I'm sure we'll clarify things one day."

Parisi is also the mother of Rebecca, born in 1994 from her marriage to Giorgio Manenti, and of twins Elizabeth and Dylan, born in 2010 to her husband Umberto Maria Anzolin. She has lived in Hong Kong with her husband and twins since 2011, while her relationship with Jacqueline has been on hold for 13 years: "My followers have little patience for controversy and gossip. Generally, fans don't really know our story, so they should take a step back and say less nasty things. They should wait for her and I to clarify and talk."
