The difficulty in spending once again takes center stage in the report of the control section of the Court of Auditors on the general financial statement of the Region for the 2023 financial year . Today only the verification of the financial statement was scheduled, the judgment of parity by the joint sections is expected on September 27.
The report shows that 117 million have not been used by the health companies, "an alarming signal", the judges specified. In surplus there are instead 530 million, or the amount of the budget adjustment expected in the Regional Council for October.
"We will begin preparing the 2025-2027 budget maneuver in these weeks, so that we can proceed in time and give the Council the time necessary for approval within the year, avoiding the provisional exercise, and so as to have a budget forecast that allows us to start spending immediately ", explained the Budget Councilor Giuseppe Meloni who, with the president Alessandra Todde, participated in the meeting of the Court of Auditors.
In particular on the unspent funds for healthcare, "we are working so that this does not happen again". After the 530 million adjustment on 27 September : "We have already given the departments the task of verifying the allocations to be included in the next variation".
