But it was on the sidelines—the Question Time format, with questions, answers, and rejoinders, leaves little room—that the entire clash between the majority and the opposition unfolded. Specifically, it was over whether the President of the Region should retain her dual role for much longer .

"The Sardinian healthcare system is increasingly in crisis ," said Alice Aroni, a councilor for the Mixed Group and vice president of the sixth commission, "and President Todde must understand that she needs to appoint a full-time health councilor as soon as possible, and not condemn the Sardinians to an interim position."

Five Star Movement Councilor Lara Serra's response was quick: "The president will be health councilor for as long as she's needed. It's a position she took on knowingly, a choice we support, especially because it's bearing fruit ." And so it goes.
