Green light for the first important article in the 250 million euro budget adjustment for 2024 only.

This is number 5 regarding the recovery of waiting lists which provides for the allocation of 5.4 million euros with the aim of " increasing spending for the purchase of hospital and outpatient healthcare services from accredited private entities , in order to reduce waiting times for the year 2024. "

Health councilor Armando Bartolazzi also spoke in the Chamber: «At a national level, waiting lists have multifactorial determinants, so throughout Italy we can even forget about eliminating them, because it doesn't even depend on the resources that can be allocated. I say this from experience and from a 360 degree vision." As for the involvement of the accredited private individual, « private individuals will be given homework , we will finance and cover the expenses for the most urgent services we need , and this applies both to outpatient services and to the Mater Olbia. We will no longer give money to rain. I want to understand the homework of each laboratory, radiology center and affiliated hospital. The accredited private sector must not be considered as something in competition with the regional health system, but as something complementary to what the health system is unable to do".
