Health, inclusion and work . These are the issues, which can no longer be neglected, on which the Sardinian CISL asks the next Regional Council to intervene to try to revive the island .

The regional leader, Gavino Carta , spoke about it this morning at the headquarters in via Ancora in Cagliari.

«There are many problems in Sardinia - he said - from poverty to work to healthcare. Today one in three people gives up treatment . This is a topic that can no longer be overlooked. And then there is poverty: on the basis of some indicators such as the unemployment rate, extraordinary and exceptional social safety nets, and an empirical evaluation, the number of families without income from work exceeds 120 thousand out of a total of around 700 thousand families. Even pensions, for the most part, have amounts below the relative poverty index."

The document produced by the union also describes the use of Pnrr funds and all available resources . "Having them and not knowing how to spend them is absurd: making the public machine more efficient is essential."

And then a look at the past, present and future of the Sardinia Region . «Unfortunately, on some issues, such as energy, we have returned to the starting point. Corporate crises are at a standstill. Healthcare has run into a shortage of staff. This legislature has not changed anything, in fact the situation has even worsened. There was no real control room for the management of the Pnrr funds."
