«Change pace in the ASL and modify the CUP».
This is the objective that the Campo Largo forces set themselves on the occasion of the summit on health which concluded at Villa Devoto and which was attended by, in addition to the President of the Region Alessandra Todde, the group leaders and secretaries of the majority parties.
"When there are such important steps as health care, it is good to share and ensure that the responsibility of such an important department is shared among all political forces," the governor explained at the end of the meeting. "Citizens do not want to see the parties dancing but want answers on waiting lists, on local health care and on the performance of hospitals. We have inherited a health care system that has a significant level of conflict, beyond the shortcomings that we know about."
For this reason, he added, "the commissioners will have to do an important pacification activity, learn to connect with the territory, help the parties to give concrete answers. Today's theme was to share the method and how we will carry out this action on health".
In the meantime, Todde is awaiting the civil court's decision on her appeal against the forfeiture injunction . "We are working, I am confident and calm. For me it is important to make citizens understand that this is a debate within the courts," she said. "I am solid and centered, I know what was done during the election campaign. I have seen the political scaremongering around this issue, also trying to change the democratic outcome of the elections. I will calmly wait for what the judges will say, then I will evaluate the next steps."
But, he reiterated, "one thing is the debate in the courtrooms, another thing is the political debate on what citizens expect. In this regard, I believe that citizens have seen in these months a Council that does things that for too long have not been addressed".
