The reform is in force, the commissioners have been appointed, but the operations of the health companies are struggling to take off. From her point of view, the president of the Region has insisted so much on having new names at the helm of the ASL with the aim of achieving a change of pace. If the old general managers have not achieved the required results - was her reasoning and that of the Health Councilor Armando Bartolazzi - then it is better to remove them. Now, however, the newly installed managers find themselves without a team to count on.
The reason is that in healthcare companies, a significant part of the work is carried out by healthcare and administrative directors. However, they still need to be identified. For the moment, the old ones remain in office, who have evidently operated up to now on the basis of the indications of the dismissed directors. It does not seem like the best way to start, therefore: the risk of a lack of communication within the management is very high.
On the other hand, the twelve commissioners do not have much time to try to solve the problems of Sardinian health. Just six months, as foreseen in the reform approved last March. And being able to count on two people they trust would be helpful.
Moreover, the appointment of administrative and health directors is the responsibility of the commissioners . Who, however, have not yet proceeded, probably waiting for indications. But also because the method to adopt is not yet very clear. Should we refer to lists that the Sardinia Region does not have? Or is it enough to have five years of experience as a manager behind you?
