Health, bill slow: quorum missing three times, discussion postponed

Slow work in the Regional Council on the bill to appoint a commissioner for health companies. The quorum was not reached three times during the discussion and examination of the amendments to Article 2.

Opposition to the attack: «You don't like the law either, that's why you can't even maintain a quorum» , said Fausto Piga (FdI). For Stefano Tunis (Sardegna al Centro 20Venti) «the law impacts on the issue of health. It would have had and needs a broader consensus , especially a solid contribution from the majority that is not there».

Article 2 concerns the general principles and purposes of the measure. The session was interrupted a short while ago and is reconvened for tomorrow afternoon.

In the morning , the opposition had asked for the measure to be returned to the sixth commission. "In recent days, calls for a more thorough reflection on the text have multiplied," said the FdI group leader Paolo Truzzu , referring to the statements of unions and medical associations. "We believe that a new round of hearings is necessary, especially in view of the amendments of the Council that will radically modify the text."

The proposal of the former mayor of Cagliari was rejected by the chamber : «The law has a limited scope of action», commented the president of the PD group Roberto Deriu , «and everything that was said in the commission is filed in the minutes of the parliament, and will be analyzed later for laws of broader scope».
