The adventure in Sardinia of the Secretary General of the Region, Saverio Lo Russo, could be at the end of the line.
"The news that he had his bags packed had been circulating in the corridors of the Region for some time. Now it is official: he will go to coordinate an office of the Department for Regional Affairs and Autonomies", says the group leader of Fratelli d'Italia in the Regional Council, Paolo Truzzu, who underlines: "The very man who should have allowed Sardinia to "change pace and standing in the national and international representation" (words of President Todde) returns to Rome after having collected, in just seven months, some appeals from the national government against the Region". This is how Paolo Truzzu, group leader of Fratelli d'Italia in the Regional Council, commented on the news that the Department for Personnel of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers has authorized the assignment of a new management role to Saverio Lo Russo, who the Todde Council had appointed last April 11th to the role of Secretary General of the Region.
Lo Russo arrived on the Island with an appointment on April 11. He held the top position in the regional administrative machine, that of general secretary, created under the government of Christian Solinas with the law that the 5 Star Movement, when it was in opposition, had called “armchair factory”. Only to then use it in (almost) all of its potential.
"While waiting to verify the concrete government actions of the new Council, we must recognize that the president has a certain familiarity in the "appointments sector", Truzzu attacks, " especially taking advantage of those rules so much fought by the center-left in the previous legislature. As for the general secretary, it is unfortunate that the offices of Viale Trento have been used as a temporary headquarters for a career manager and given that, presumably, he will go to manage an office that will also deal with Sardinian issues, the hope is that he will maintain the right legal balance after being appointed by a Council of a well-defined political color".
From Rome or, in any case, on Roman instructions, the Health Councilor, Armando Bartolazzi, had also arrived. And "given the mediocre results of another choice made outside the Island", Truzzu concludes, "we hope that this time President Todde will be more careful and above all will not be influenced by the dynamics coming from the Roman Five Star world and from the new undisputed leader of that galaxy".
