Harry Kane is the winner of the 2026 Ballon d'Or. The award will be presented by Ronaldo the Phenomenon.

Spain and Barcelona swept the top awards at the ceremony, winning, among others, the title of Best Coach (Luis de la Fuente) and Best Young Player (Lamine Yamal). The Spain coach, who won the World Cup this summer, succeeds his compatriot Luis Enrique (PSG) in the 2025/26 season's Best Coach award. Unai Simon, goalkeeper for the Athletic Bilbao national team, also received an award.

In women's football, Alexia Putellas, currently playing for London City Lionesses, received the highest women's award, receiving it for the third time. The Best Coach award went to FC Barcelona manager Pere Romeu. The 32-year-old Spaniard took charge of the team in July 2024, following the departure of Jonatan Giraldez, whom he had been one of his assistants. Under him, the Blaugrana achieved a "quadruple" title, winning the Spanish League, Spanish Cup, Spanish Super Cup, and Champions League.

The Raymond Kopa trophy, awarded to the best Under-21 talents, also ended up in the hands of Barça; or rather, it remained within the Catalan club. Winger Lamine Yamal received this award for the third consecutive year. In the women's league, Barcelona forward Vicky Lopez also retained her title, and Barcelona also won the award for best club.

French side Paris Saint-Germain, winners of the last two editions of the Champions League, won the Ballon d'Or awarded to the best men's club.
