Party ruined for Manchester City, who are experiencing hours of apprehension after last night's triumph in the Champions League final against Inter.
The father of Enzo Maresca, a staff member and close collaborator of Guardiola, has disappeared in Istanbul. The man followed from the Ataturk stands to the final, but disappeared into thin air already during the match. During the second half, the stadium announcer launched an appeal and the name of the man on the scoreboards was also highlighted, Pasquale De Caro (Enzo Maresca is registered with his mother's surname). There has been no news of him since yesterday, the Turkish police forces have activated to try to find him but at the moment have not obtained results.
Maresca, a good career as a footballer, former midfielder for Palermo, Juve, Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Sevilla among others, is now a much appreciated coach. In 2022, after an experience in the under 23 of the City and a parenthesis in Parma, he returned to Manchester in the staff of Guardiola, of which he is a close collaborator.
