From August 29th to 31st, Guspini will be a hub for children's literature with the thirteenth edition of Bimbi a Bordo, the festival organized by the cultural promotion association InCoro. This year, the journey follows a theme as poetic as it is universal: "Trees and Leaves. The Imagery of Nature in the Evolving World of Life."

A tribute to the life cycle, growth, and metamorphoses that unite the natural world and human experience, guided by the scientific direction of Martino Negri and Francesco Cappa, professors and scholars of children's literature at the University of Milan-Bicocca.

But even before officially setting sail, the festival will have an intense preview with strong civic values . On August 28th, at 9:30 pm in Piazza XX Settembre, "Bimbi a Bordo" will be held for the children of Gaza: an evening of words, images, and commitment to recount a stolen childhood and to reaffirm that culture can be an act of solidarity.

The opening will be given by Bruno Tognolini, a poet and writer beloved by children, with the talk "With Two Feet, Shame and Hope. The Murmur of Poets in the Din." His voice, capable of piercing pain and wonder, will move between awareness of the tragedies of the present and a stubborn faith in hope.

Following this, filmmaker and activist Manolo Luppichini will present the GazaWeb project : Trees of the Network, an initiative by the NGO ACS that, circumventing the Israeli blockade, has restored free internet access in the Gaza Strip. This work of "network gardeners"—like trees planted in difficult terrain—connects Palestinian and Italian schools, intertwining roots of memory and future.

The preview will not only be a prologue to the festival , but an invitation to look beyond the confines of literature, toward an idea of childhood that is always protected and nurtured, everywhere in the world. Because—as the common thread that unites nature and humanity reminds us—every leaf has the right to grow in the light. The Bimbi a Bordo Festival is supported by the Region of Sardinia, the Fondazione di Sardegna, and the Municipality of Guspini.
