"He chased me with a baseball bat and beat me in the head , once he even broke my nose."

So Guendalina Tavassi , in the courtroom during the trial against her ex-husband Umberto D'Aponte , told the nightmare she lived between 2015 and 2021.

The two married in 2013, in the same year their first daughter, Chloe, was born. The violence, said the former gieffina, began two years later, just before the arrival of the second child. "Before he only came to Rome on weekends, when he moved the problems started: various betrayals and episodes of violence due to jealousy, he constantly threatened and denigrated me, even in front of the children, he told me that I had to die ".

The showgirl reported, among the many episodes, one of 2017: “He was sleeping, a friend sent me a text message telling me she saw him with another. So we had a fight and he broke the window pane, which ended up in the baby's crib ”. Many episodes of violence were reported, which also occurred while she was breastfeeding her child : on several occasions the police intervened.

He also beat me in front of the children , I was afraid for them, they cried and asked him to stop. Once he broke my nose throwing the keys to my car, I was bleeding and my son asked the neighbors for help screaming: 'Mom is dying'.

In 2021 she left him, but the violence did not end and D'Aponte also targeted the current partner of the former shipwrecked woman, Federico Perna , she said: "We were in Federico's car and the child saw his father meet with two men. Umberto and those men started beating my partner, the child was terrified ”.

D'Aponte for his part denies any violence , denies ever having raised his hands on Guendalina and, according to the lawyers, the reports of the police after the interventions at home would confirm his version.
