In Guasila everything is ready to begin the award ceremony days for the winners of the seventh edition of the literary festival, scheduled for 27-28-29 October. The Festival dell'Altrove literary competition, dedicated to the anthropologist and writer Giulio Angioni, was wanted and organized also for this 2023 edition, by the culture department of the Municipality of Guasila, in collaboration with the association Local Bodies for Cultural Activities and Entertainment.

The Giulio Angioni Literary Prize, this year in its seventh edition, was created by the will of the municipal administration of Guasila to convey cultural values and social inclusion and honor the memory of Giulio Angioni: anthropologist, university professor, screenwriter, writer and poet. Several times finalist in the Viareggio Award and winner, among many awards, of the Mondello and Dessì Awards.

From this edition the Award has opened up to new sections: published and unpublished fiction, poetry, non-fiction and lifetime achievement award. In this logic, it was decided to award a special prize to a figure who has distinguished himself, throughout the year, for particular social merits. And this is why the Giulio Angioni Award, the Festival dell'Altrove and the Municipality of Guasila were pleased to award a special recognition to Claudio Ranieri on 17 July. Matteo Porru, a writer born in 2001, who has an important curriculum under his belt, the publication of several novels that have won important literary prizes, including the Campiello, is the president of the Giulio Angioni Literary Prize and artistic director of the Festival dell'Altrove .
