The Autonomy Commission of the Sardinia Region, chaired by Northern League Andrea Piras, has given the green light to the bill establishing the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces.

The provision must now pass to the examination of the Regional Council.

"An important step", underlines Piras, because "it allows the Regions, through the Conference, to have a more incisive institutional role in relations with the State and in the ambit of legislation of regional interest".

This Conference is also "an objective strengthening of the system of autonomies which, starting from article 117 of the Constitution, has developed along a path of collaborative regionalism", adds the Northern League exponent.
