Three Sundays with top-notch jazz. Before lunch and before dinner. After the year of pause caused by the restrictions for Covid, it returns with the edition number 20 "(to) be in Jazz - I Concerti Aperitivo". On 5, 12 and 19 December, as usual, the Verdi Theater in Sassari will host the double appointment (at 11 and 18) organized by the Blue Note Orchestra.

It starts this Sunday with an artistic project linked to the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri: "Inferno" written by Mario Raja, who will direct the Jazz Orchestra of Sardinia and the singer-actress Feerica Santoro in the soundtrack of the homonymous 1911 film by Francesco Bertolini, Adolfo Padovan and Giuseppe De Liguoro, which will be screened in its entirety during the performance.

Sunday 12 December, again at 11 and 18, the Sardinia Jazz Orchestra will present "Verdi & Puccini in Jazz" under the direction of Pino Jodice, who has orchestrated for big bands, together with Bruno Biriaco, arias and melodies from operas of the two immortal composers. The project was conceived by the singer Cinzia Tedesco, a talent of international jazz vocality, and was born as a tribute to the Opera.

The conclusion (December 19) is entrusted to “What does Man live on? - The Music of Kurt Weill ", exploration of the fascinating repertoire of the German composer, universally known for his historic collaboration with Bertolt Brecht in the" Opera da Tre Soldi ".

The theatrical element will be enhanced by the presence of Peppe Servillo, who will dialogue with the singer Costanza Alegiani. The arrangements by Luigi Giannatempo were written specifically for the Sassari ensemble which will be directed for the occasion by Marco Tiso.
