Songs in Portuguese, be it fado, samba or bossa, are among the most loved compositions by the public. Many great Italian artists have tried their hand at the repertoire in Portuguese, among them Cristiano Malgioglio and Ornella Vanoni.

Also in Sardinia the musical appointments with the repertoire between Brazil and Portugal are not lacking in the Festival billboards.

Among the many events on the subject, one of the most popular voices of Radio Rai, Pamela D'Amico , a well-known Italian-Brazilian singer-songwriter, co-host in the previous seasons of the broadcast "Brasil" on the second channel of Via Asiago, together with Max, met with great success. De Tomassi who in recent days was the special guest of the new project by Gabriele Deiana together with the Ukrainian pianist Rostyslav Prachun. An extraordinary interpretation of some classics of the carioca repertoire in addition to the new hits of the artist of Abruzzese origin, but transplanted between Rome and Salvador de Bahia, who right at the end of July released his latest single, "You are right", which in a few days it is exceeding 100,000 views.

Sunday 7 August at 10 pm in Piazza Due Palme in Palau will be Franca Masu , one of the greatest interpreters of fado and Portuguese song, the protagonist of a concert entirely dedicated to World Music and strongly characterized by the music made famous in the world by the unforgettable Amalia Rodrigues.

But the highlight for Brazil fans will be tomorrow, Saturday 6 August , in Cagliari at the Nazzari Arena starting at 9 pm with the great singer-songwriter Toquinho who with Acquarello, Lua Cheia, Manhã de carnaval, Brasiliando, Tristeza, Samba da rosa and Meu pai oxala will make his fans dream who have been following him for over 50 years.

The concert, part of the billboard of the Bflat Jazz Festival with the artistic direction of Marcotullio Coco, is an artistic project on its first release in Sardinia: a tribute to Brazilian music and a tribute to all the friends with whom Toquinho shared his life as a artist.

The "saudade" of Tom Jobim, who would have turned 95 this year, and of his great friend and collaborator Vinicius de Moraes, of Baden Powell, Carlos Lyra, Chico Buarque, Menescal and many others, turns into a show on stage of great charm.

Accompanying Toquinho, voice and guitar, will be the vocalist Camilla Faustino , together with Itaiguara Brandão on bass and Mauricio Zottarelli on drums.
